Maybe after he stops spinning in his grave.I should point my comments about the Spirit movie come from a guy who likes the Dolph Lundgren version of the Punisher. I kinda want to see that 1987 Spirit movie now, if I can find it. Though, I will say after watching the Spirit movie, it made me go out and seek out the original Will Eisner stories. So for that I will give it some points. The main problem with the Spirit is (and I never thought I would say this) is Samuel L. Jackson. Way too over the top. For his roll as a criminal mastermind he needed to dial it down to Unbreakable levels of acting, not Snakes on a Plane acting. When your that over the top you stop being menacing and are just ridiculous. Though Sam Jackson, isn't the only problem. What drives me insane is that clearly Frank Miller is a fan of the Spirit. The whole origin of Sand Serif is lifting almost word for word from the comic (and you can find that comic in "The Best of Spirit" ordered it at Amazon.com, and tell them Kelly sent you.). Miller, just doesn't seem to understand that yes, the concept, the criminal scheme, even the characters action can be played for camp. But, in order for it to work, the actors have to play it seriously. Hey, do a Spirit show, then I can rant more about the Spirit movie.

It's ok. From what I have seen of the Spirit film Will Eisner is about to jump up and endorse the 1987 film starring the guy who played Flash Gordon in the classic Queen filled FLASH GORDON. I understand.

Great episode. Never really been a big fan of the character, but on your recommendation I picked up "A Man Called Frank" from ebay. It was awesome. The character works really well in a setting (like the old West) that is sort of lawless to begin with. Wish Marvel would have done more with Old West Punisher. I could see him as being Marvels answer to DC's Jonah Hex (a character I also really like). Think I might also pick up Essential Punisher Vol. 1. And, I swear, I must be one of the ten people who actually liked the Dolph Lundren Punisher movie. I owe it on VHS. Didn't like the 2004 movie (mostly because of John Travolita). Have no plan to ever see Punisher War Journal. I'm pretty much burned out on comic movies after "The Spirit" turned out to be such a horrible mess. I would advise everyone who is thinking of seeing the "The Spirit" to instead spend your money on the book The Very Best of the Spirit. No sure why this turned into a rant about the Spirit movie, but great episode on the Punisher.

So you were on the western side of the state. I grew up in the Lehigh Valley. I've heard of Ambler mostly because a buddy of mine went to the college there for a semester.
