Episode 90: 1990 or “They Got Comics That Big in Texas?’

Well, it’s been over a month and despite putting out two episodes of the two “Views mini-series” I am currently producing a new episode of Views From The Longbox is here and hopefully I still have an audience to support it.

This week I continue my thirteen part look at a youth squandered on comic books (all leading up to the epic episode 100) with the flashback to the year that was 1990.  After a diatribe which may be ill conceived I get into a year that had a lot more going on than I originally thought it would when I was planning this episode out.  Highlights of this episode include the greatness that were the Superman books in 1990, my trip to Texas, the day I realized I was, in fact, an addict, Spider-Man #1, the Who’s Who Binder Edition, Superman gets engaged, Tim Drake becomes Robin and even a little bit on the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I have appeared on several other podcasts of late.  You can check me out of the first, second and third part of this month’s Spider-Man Crawlspace Podcast as well as an episode of Between the Panels.  Check them out because I had a lot of fun on both shows.

Come back on Wednesday for the next episode.

No really.  I promise.  It will be here on Wednesday.  Well, late Wednesday, but Wednesday nonetheless.
