Episode 143: Getting Stuff Off My Chest…The 2012 Edition
I really don’t know how this is going to go.
This time out I not only go completely raw editing wise (seriously, I only made one or two cuts to this episode) but I also have no notes and talk about stuff that I normally wouldn’t talk about. I also go into areas I try to shy away from, like religion and politics. So this is uncharted territory for me and I am a bit nervous about how the episode is going to be received.
Anyway I spend the first part of the episode talking about the New 52 Superman. What I like and what I don’t like. After the break is when the “heavy” stuff begins and I go into my problems with the American political process and how people react to each others’ religious beliefs (or lack thereof) and then bring all of that into comics and my issues with how certain comic fans acts on Facebook. Then I end up talking about Superman again because, as we all know, it all comes back to Superman.
So yeah…the episode is out there and the reactions will be what the reactions will be. Here’s hoping I have listeners after this.
Oh, and when I say this episode is raw I mean it. Dogs are barking. My wife comes into the room. This is pure podcasting, folks. Just wanted to give you a heads up.
Next time: Halloween 2012

Great, GREAT episode, Michael. I listen to every episode of FCTC, while I’m a bit more selective with some of the other shows you do, and to hear you be as open and candid as you were here was quite refreshing (not that you’re otherwise exasperating…). I could go on and on, but as this a space for comments and not essays, I’ll leave it here and again congratulate you on a great podcast. Up, up, and away!!!
